Big week behind me, bigger week ahead.
The legs are heavy. My mind is clear.

Did you know Oakley makes glasses for people with slanty eyes? Or so they tell us.
I got an email about it. “this is 2008 right?”
Yeah, and George Bush still does not care about black people.

Saving the weekend, is Bend’s own Horner.
F’ing awesome.

And it is clear now I am not the only one having a hard time with all of the righteous and aggro cyclists and drivers this summer.
After a sensationalist cover article in the Oregonian last week, Bike Portland pens an elegant response to the bike-car-bike-bike antagonism.
I’m still getting extra grief from the autos and commuters in this sunny warm weather.
I mention it so much recently because it is truly worse than “normal”. Everyone is chomping at the bit, ready to jump all over you if you blow a stop sign or are commuting in spandex.

I’d give Oakley the benefit of the doubt. Anthropometrics (making stuff sized right for the human body) is tricky. I mean, Terry has created a whole business out of making saddles for women’s behinds right? And, we all know that trying to fit everyone on earth on to S/M/L bike frames isn’t going to work. Plus, given how expensive it is to make a second set of ‘Asian Fit’ tooling, it’s probably a serious attempt to please customers, not some marketing gimmick. It is funny how they don’t call the rest of their glasses “white guy fit” though

yeah…
But saying “women specific” covers ALL women.
Asian specific?
“White guy” fit would be hilarious.
And “black guy” fit would probably get a brick through their window…
Don’t we assume most stuff is “white guy” fit by default?
